ELEUTHERA FISHING  1) ELEUTHERA FISHING CHARTER BOATS AND CAPTAINS You can hire deep-sea fishing charters in Harbour Island; in the future, once the Cotton Bay Club is developed, you can most likely hook up with a charter from Davis Harbour. Otherwise, you can hire locals to take you out on their small boats to do some offshore fishing. Note that Eleuthera is world-famous for bonefishing. Most captains did a bit of that, and there are many places on the Caribbean side where you do not need a bonefish guide, especially if you know what you are doing 2) BAHAMAS FISHING REGULATIONSHawaiian sling is the only approved spearfishing device. Use of scuba gear or an air compressor to harvest fish, conch, crawfish and other marine animals is prohibited. Spearfishing is not allowed within one mile off the coast of New Providence, within one mile off the south coast of Freeport, Grand Bahama and within 200 yards of the coast of all Out Islands.
