Home to the famous Chub Cay Resort
An island rich in history and charm, and home to the famous Chub Bay Club. Founded more than 40 years ago, Chub Cay Club has been the retreat of high-end vacationers and boaters. The southernmost tip of the Berry islands, Bahamas is home to Chub Cay, perhaps the most spectacular of the out islands with its white sand beaches, a blue sea so brilliant it defines description and a sense of tranquility only found in the islands. Recently purchased by a group of investors headed by South Florida Businessman Kaye Pearson, Walt McCrory and Bob Moss, Chub Cay is about to undergo major renovations and development. A new two-story, manor-style clubhouse and pool, 57 new colonial style villas, and expansion of the marina from 96 to approximately 200 slips, are just a few of the plans.
Chub Cay remains an unspoiled delight with three white sand beaches and brilliant blue seas with serene island tranquility all its own. The Island is located just 35 miles west of Nassau and 75 miles across the Bahama Bank from the Bimini Islands. From South Florida it is just 45 minutes away by air, 125 nautical miles by boat. Chub Cay's location at the edge of the Tounge of The Ocean, makes it a premier destination for diving, offering some of the most pristine coral reefs in The Bahamas. Its spectacular offshore fishing lures the worlds best sport fisherman and women in search of billfish, wahoo, dolphin and kingfish to name a few, plus miles of pristine flats close to shore for catching permit and the elusive bonefish. Chub Cay is also home to an annual Billfish Tournament.
Queens Beach is perhaps the finest beach on Chub Cay. Like many Bahamian beaches, you might find yourself the only one on the entire beach.
